No Bake Energy Bites
/Do you ever find a recipe on the back of a package and think wow, I should try that?
I always have great intentions but never actually follow through. But this time, I actually tried the recipe and I am so glad that I did. The following recipe was originally found on the back of a flaxseed meal bag from Trader Joes. I have modified it slightly.
These Energy Bites are extremely easy to make, are so delicious and are perfect for a pre or post workout snack. I bet your kids will even love them!
No Bake Energy Bites
Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup dairy free chocolate chips
1/2 cup ground flaxseed meal
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients together in a bowl. Form into balls using your hands. Arrange bites on a baking sheet and freeze until set, about one hour. Enjoy!
